No commentsMore Flights to Cape Verde!

Visiting the Cape Verde Islands has just become even more accessible with the introduction of a brand new route flying directly from London Gatwick to the beautiful island of Boa Vista. The Cape Verde Islands, also known as The Barlovento group of Islands are situated off the African Senegalese coast in the Atlantic Ocean., nicknamed “Europe’s Caribbean Hotspot” not without good reason. It has been one of the best kept holiday destination secrets for a long time. Until recently, only the very determined traveller experienced the beauty and culture of the Islands as it has only been possible to access them by air via southern European and African airports, or by sea
The first -ever direct flights from the UK to Cape Verde where launched by Astraeus last year, flying from Manchester and London Gatwick to Sal’s Amilcar Cabral international airport. Sal with its wonderful white sandy beaches is the most northerly of all of the Cape Verde islands. Property development and tourism investment has seen a substantial amount of growth with the introduction of more direct flights, opening up International interest which continues to increase international investment in the Cape Verde Islands.
Mr Hugh Parry, the Managing Director of the British Airline Operator - Astreaus said, “These Islands are rapidly establishing themselves as a new and different destination, with a number of environmental- sensitive property and hotel developments taking place throughout the main islands”.
The price of a return flight including taxes and extra charges are likely to be in the region of 377 pounds. Flights are scheduled to leave from the UK every Tuesday and will include a stop at the neighbouring Island of Sal en route.
There has been a dramatic increase in the number of tourists visiting The Cape Verde Islands since the direct flights where introduced to some of the Major Islands and with the wonderful year round climate it is only a matter of time before The Cape Verde Islands become the discerning travellers favourite winter holiday destination.
